You can’t speak on morals outside of God because He is the author of truth and good. If God is against sin, then why are some of us born with the very nature of sinning? Who said homosexuality is sin? Adultery, murder, stealing and so on is sin? God did. If one doesn’t believe in God then why argue from the point of morals? All I hear are excuses and many of them silly of why homosexuality is ok. If one believes that, then please stop arguing why morally it is ok. The truth is many like to misconstrue morality to their own personal beliefs. You’ve created your own rules and laws of what is morally acceptable and what isn’t. You’re argument is more clear and understandable outside of Gods morals because without that there’d be nothing to measure against of what is good and true. I’ve found that nonbelievers of God love to argue against what God says yet they find the excuses and time to change His words to fit their own desires. Why? I believe because in their hearts they know that homosexuality is immoral according to God. It’s in our nature to sin because all humans inherited that nature from the very first human creations who forfeited immortality for a lie that is a result of all sin and mortality. To Christian parents of LGBT children, and for churches to consider: It gives me such great joy when Christian parents share how unconditionally they have learned to love their children; that their children are not flawed, their children are not lost, eternal sinners, any more than the person who is divorced and remarried is a lost, eternal sinner. There is so much more condemnation in the Bible for the one who divorces, for the one who commits adultery and fornication, and if the divorced person still has an ex-spouse who is living, does the bible not say they not committing adultery every day in their new marriage? Jesus makes an exception for the one who was cheated on (sexual immorality) by their spouse, or one who was deserted by an unbelieving spouse, but what if they, themselves, were the one who cheated and broke up their marriage? God gives no exception, aside from the forgiveness of sins, and our redemption in Christ. How can a twice or thrice-divorced pastor tell our LGBTQ child that they are lost unless they dedicate themselves to continually remaining in celibacy, and live their entire life without an intimate companion and family, when this pastor is not willing to carry the same biblical-sounding burden? Is there not so much more in the Bible forbidding remarriage, which God calls adultery, than there is about homosexual behaviour? Yes, Christ forgave the woman caught in adultery, saying “Neither do I condemn you; go, and from now on sin no more,” but directly before that He commanded, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” The bible teaches, in Romans 11-28, that there is not one of us who are without sin, and we are not saved by our own acts of righteousness, but by “God’s righteousness… that He might be just and the Justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus.” So why do we want to cast weighty stones of judgment, rejection and anger at homosexual behaviour and not the adultery of cheating, divorce and remarriage, which Christ condemned much more harshly? I do not understand this dichotomy. After 13 years of the Holy Spirit working diligently on my heart and mind, teaching me from the scriptures by His illumination, and by many Bible teachers turning their hearts towards the Holy Spirit's inspiration and away from their formerly stone-casting stance toward homosexuals, I have now firmly come to believe the Holy Spirit wants to teach us a more Christlike way. Christ told The Pharisees in Matthew 19 that Moses allowed them to divorce because their hearts were stubborn, but God calls them to a higher way. The Lord is full of grace and mercy for each and every one of us, so when we turn to Him and give our lives over to Him, His redemptive Grace can come and begin to guide our hearts toward holiness. We have no right, as parents or as church members, to demand perfection and holiness at the moment of profession of faith, as regeneration and transformation by the Holy Spirit takes time, and is not instantaneous, except for the case of a rare miracle. Our Lord has walked as a human being, and He understands our humanity. This is why His Word tells us we are all sinners, and Christ died for us while we are sinners.

As a gay older man & got married to a woman when young because of society treated gays 50 years ago! Made a lot of problems for me & my family! I find it really fascinating how growing up in the early 2000s, Ive encountered all of these arguments and their exact counterarguments (down to the analogies) at some point in my life. I think it goes to show just how influential these talks have been. And theyve been a great deal helpful in making the lives of gay people better. Thank you.

The Bible clearly says to love what God loves, AND to HATE what God hates. And God does NOT love everyone. A couple (but not all) verses referring to this: Psalm 5:5 says God HATES all workers of iniquity. Psalm 11:5 says God’s soul HATES the wicked, and those that love violence. To hate with your soul is a pretty deep hatred. Numerous other verses speak of God abhorring nations, or cities. The definition of abhor is to regard with disgust or hatred. It doesn’t take a mastermind to see that God has hated people. Like when He drowned every single person on the earth, except 8. And when He burned up Sodom and Gomorrah. He only spared Lot and his family. And what about what He is going to do during the great tribulation? Does that sound like “ unconditional love”?

Like a lot of baby boomer people back in the early 1970's my brother Lyle grew his blonde hair long. While being heterosexual. When runnning his dump truck company with my brother Ron when completing their high school diploma too one day while he was driving that dump truck alone after someone kept on pointing to his truck tires he got out of his truck when thinking there must be something wrong with his tires. Only to then get beat up by someone who thought he was a gay with long hair. He got a hair cut to help him have a new image to help him avoid all the moral entrepreneurs out there who believe that being violent often enough proves that they are heterosexual too. For awhile when he was looking like the same age as both his sons while all 3 of them are from 6 feet 4 inches to 6 feet 7 inches tall when in public with his wife too some people would assume they were not all in the same family. Sometimes which got so very problematic to all of them in public because of that other kind of moral entrepreneur out there who believes that they are god's gift to woman while getting to pick whatever person they want out to become their slave. Just because her skin is darker than theirs. For sure we should be wary of anyone who believes they can be wise through their own eyes. Like when a foolish man starts assuming that someone must be a Nazi rounding up the slaves they want instead only because that alleged Nazi has short blonde hair while being tall.
